Vehicle Description Porsche - there is no substitute.
In 1970 Porsche introduced the 914 as its entry level car.
By 1976 the fuel injected 2.
0 L air cooled Volkswagen variant had been comfortably in place for several years.
It was lighter than the six and produced 100 hp and 118 lbs/ft of torque - a very peppy little power plant.
When Porsche moved on to its next entry level car in 1977, the 912E, this was the engine they used.
There is a lot of racing ingenuity in this fun car.
Those who have years of experience racing mid-engine cars, know that an engine in the middle makes a car extremely maneuverable.
It lets you decelerate evenly and corner easily.
What the average buyer loves most is that it is just plain fun to drive.
It comes with a 5-speed transmission, rack and pinion steering, 4-wheel independent suspension, and disc brakes on all four corners - reallyin 1976? Yes, it is a Porsche!! Electronic fuel injection provides maximum performance and great fuel economy.
There are two trunks with lots of space for weekend traveling.
The rear trunk is built to accommodate the removeable fiberglass top when you want to drive in the open air.
This car has amazing head and leg room unlike the classic two-seater sports car tradition.
It gives comfort from every angle with seats that slide fore and aft, and tilt to four positions.
Controls and gauges are positioned for ease of use and sight.
This is a driver's car.
It is a mid-engine sports car with classic Porsche styling and handling.
Yes, there is no substitute.
Eastern Shore Classic Cars is excited to present a wonderful example of the 1976 Porsche 914 2.

This car was given a full mechanical refurbishment in the early 90's shortly after it was purchased by its last owner.
At the same time, it was painted in the correct white after all body dings were attended to.
The restoration has held up very well, with the paint truly showing almost no signs of age.
This is a car that was loved and pampered by its owner.
Recently work was done on the driver's area with both seats being reupholstered in the correct buff color.
All that is lacking to complete the product is to replace or have a serious detailer attend to the carpet and door panels.
It has a later aftermarket Pioneer radio in the correct position in the dash.
The owner took the trouble to make sure that the speakers were correctly positioned in the kick panels and the antenna is correctly placed on the driver's side.
Many examples on the market reflect lack of attention to detail and correctness - not this one.
The owner was willing to spend money on this car to make it special.
It sports a set of black Fuchs wheels with a subtle red stripe that looks great with the white finish - an expensive add on.
The original steel wheels go with the car.
Proof of the owner's dedication to keeping this car in excellent condition is the huge folder of work orders and receipts that reflect work done in the 20
year ownership.
Based on that paperwork, it appears that the mileage on the clock, showing approximately 46,000 miles, is correct.
It cannot be verified but it certainly seems to match the rest of the documentation.
This Porsche is considerably better than a 20-footer.
While it is a great driver, it is also an example that reflects quality and care.
Most important is that it starts right up when cold, runs, drives, stops, and turns just as a great quality car should.
It should be an easy consistent winner at local shows and will turn heads where ever it goes.
We welcome your interest.
This beautiful Porsche is offered at $35,000.
