Benefits Administrator/HR Assistant

Job Responsiblities:
Administer day-to-day functions of active benefits for all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability, workers compensation, life insurance and 401k
Ensure that new hires and current employees are enrolled for benefit coverage as elected
Coordinate with Payroll to insure employee deductions begin/change in a timely manner
Serve as liaison for 3rd party COBRA administrator
Maintain updated forms and communications
Perform other assignments and projects as requested

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline
2+ years related benefits administration experience
Excellent communication and organization skills
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of plan designs
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong ability to plan effectively and prioritize tasks
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
