We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmology Technician to join our team.
As an Ophthalmology Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting ophthalmologists in providing high-quality eye care to our patients.
This position requires an individual who can multi-task and has a strong knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and excellent patient care skills.
Duties:
- Perform various diagnostic tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and visual field testing - Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and documenting chief complaints - Assist ophthalmologists during procedures, including surgical assistance and instrument sterilization - Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist - Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and post-operative instructions - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems - Perform basic front desk duties, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information - Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed - Cleaning and preparing exam rooms before next patient arrives.
Keeping exam rooms stocked with supplies Requirements:
- Previous experience a technician in Eye care , either Ophthalmology or Optometry is Required.
-Knowledge of contact lenses is required -Experience with refraction is required - Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.
