Summary:
Duties:
Works to maintain all turfgrass and ornamental areas on the golf course in a safe and efficient manner.
Requires Mowing, cleaning ponds area, Bush hogging and assistance as needed to maintain the grounds in pristine condition.
Responsibilities Mowing areas of turf grass, including greens, tees, fairways, and rough.
Bush Hogging as and when needed, need to know or learn bush hogging equipment.
Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner daily.
Clean all equipment after use and return to storage area.
Report all equipment problems to equipment manager or assistant superintendents.
Must be able to operate small power equipment, such as backpack blowers and string trimmers.
Responsible for keeping shop areas clean and organized.
Assistance with snow or ice removal.
As essential personnel, Grounds persons are required to be available in the event of emergency situations that may or may not be related to winter weather, fire, natural disaster or any other property altering circumstance that may be caused by outside agents.
Other Requirements Must work in all weather conditions, such as rain, snow, heat, and cold.
Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
Possess the ability to work alone or in a group.
Must be able to follow instructions or directions from supervisors May be required to work in an environment that includes such activities as bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
May need to lift up to 85 lbs.
